Like most of the youth in india, i am not too much into politics etc just because we have this whole ideology in our head that the corruption in india cant be eradicated. But like every concerned indian I to follow the elections just to keep a track. when the terror attacks in mumbai took place all of mumbai and even most of india went on a this hughe rampage of changing their leaders, personnel etc. at that time it looked very apparent that the time had come for this country to get a change and its the youth who shall be taking the responsibilty in hand now. the whole outburst against pakistan, prooving kasab’s nationality etc went about at a very brisk pace and everybody thought that this time pakistan would be put to task. its been 5 months now to this whole incident and where have we reached? how apparent have the changes been seen? thats a question we keep asking ourseleves every now and then just to get the big fat NO as answer.
Just recollecting the incident i happen to travel to the CST station (the place were the 1st shooting took place) just 7 days after the terror attack and it was the regular busy station as expected. But when i jus saw the station after seeing it like 100 times on the news channel  a chill went down my spine it  was kinda scary just to see in the corners broken/damaged parts of the station and to imagine that this was the place where ppl were shot during a moderately busy time. the only thought that comes to your mind is that the ppl of mumbai are really up for anything…the spirit of mumbai(most over used term)as they so call it is always there! fine you tend to agree with all of this but…also get this thought that ok this time there would something different as in more ppl standing up for justice, making sure the security is fine etc or atleast turning up to vote so that they can make their voices heard!
what happend? well we all know after the terror attack there followed this hughe mourning and some lame efforts to awake the sleepless mumbai ppl that the time has come for change! at that time it looked really pretty i must admit. you see ppl sending you all this texts msgs with alot of vigour in them alot of so called nationalism filled in it. but as the saying goes nothing lasts for ever and this also dint have a long impact. over the course of time everything was forgotten. the most heartbreaking part was that neither did the ppl come out to vote in numbers(infact lesser in % than last time) and the worst the government was the same yaawn as usual!
all right lets not go into the analytical part that why dint the ppl come out to vote etc? even when you have all your tv commercials which are really popular…ur celebs who come out and appeal to everybody that pls vote etc! theres got to be some solution to this.no revolution,no terror attack, no influence from anyone can help us do bring about the change until we decide that the time has come!!
as they say if like gives you lemons! make lemonade ! if you get the same old government…then just pray it lasts its duration rather than being overthrown! we all want our country, our state, our city to progress but i guess if it doesnt start from us..its never going to happen!
